Unlicensed lotto operators will be arrested and prosecuted-NLA

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has announced that effective 1st November, 2021, it NLA will undertake exercises to arrest and prosecute all unlicensed lotto operators in collaboration with the security services.

In a statement dated 1st November 2021, the National Lottery Authority (NLA) announced the completion of the licensing regime of all operators of private Lotto (OPL) for the 2021/2022 licensing year in accordance with the previously communicated deadline of Friday 29th October, 2021.

According to the statement, lotto operators who failed to register before the November 1 deadline will be arrested and prosecuted

” Effective 1st November, 2021, NLA in collaboration with the security services will undertake exercises to arrest and prosecute all unlicensed operators,” the statement added.

COMPLETION OF LICENSING REGIME

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) wishes to announce the completion of the licensing regime of all operators of private lotto (OPL) for the 2021/2022 licensing year in accordance with the previously communicated deadline of Friday 29th October, 2021.
